It's hard to believe how fast time goes by. Unless you're a teenager in high school, that is. We all wished we could be done with school and get started with our lives. Little did we know how hard our lives would be! Or how hectic things would get, or how fast time would go by. So here I am, 40 years old (also hard to believe), and trying my best to get through each day, one at a time. And trying not to keep wishing my life away.
Didn't really mean to go there, but sometimes it has to be said. So, I just wanted to remind you all of the crafts I have to offer, especially since it is getting closer to Christmas. Any order can be shipped to you, free of charge, and if I don't have one made, I can make it within three weeks. I know that people really appreciate hand-made gifts. It's more personal than store-bought.
To help you decide, here are a few picures to give you ideas. Don't forget to click the link to my Picasa page-there are plenty of other ideas waiting there. Call me (423-260-5970), email me (racreations73@yahoo.com) or message me on Facebook (either Mindy Stewart Jacobs or Rachael Adele Creations). I would love to share these gifts with you and your loved ones!

New Item-Skirt Purse
I see it's been quite some time since I've updated this blog. As usual, life just gets in the way. But God has truly blessed me in this life. So here I am, starting another project and adding a new item to my repertoire.
My best friend Wendy sent me a 31 skirt purse with the understanding that I would make a wardrobe for her purse. After some searching, I found a good pattern for the skirt itself. For anyone who is not familiar with the skirt purse, here's mine, with no skirt:
Unsnap the buttons, both front and back, and lift the flap to reveal hooks to attach the skirt of your choice. From what I'm told, 31 doesn't have a large variety of patterns. I have seen many pictures of purse skirts for sale on the internet, in a very wide variety of patterns. I am starting with material I already have, mostly leftovers from other projects. I always seem to buy more material than I need for each project. I guess that's a good thing, now that I have a purse that needs a wardrobe! Here's my favorite so far:
I will continue to add new pictures to the album on Picasa, and will not be charging any shipping for these skirts. Most of them will be $10; the licensed ones, like UK, will be $15. I hope to find a pattern you love and want to show off!

Wow, really?
It's hard to believe that summer is over, and the kids are going back to school. It seems like just last week I was finishing my first t-shirt quilt. So here we are, looking forward to the fall & winter holidays. Can you believe that Christmas is just a few months away? I've been working on several different items, and if you click the link you can see all the new things I have to offer. Since it is time to be thinking of what to get your loved ones for Christmas, please look through my pictures and let me know what I can make for you. Remember, I do not charge shipping and you could have your special creation in 2-3 weeks. I'm looking forward to getting your orders and creating something special you or a loved one will cherish!

Quilt top
Here's the t-shirt quilt top I've been working on. Since this is my first one, there's been a lot of trial and error. But I'm pretty pleased with the way it has turned out. I have ideas for future quilts too, just waiting on orders.
I would love to know what you think and would welcome any suggestions (and orders of course!!).

New item-Starburst Purse
Here's my newest creation - the Starburst Purse. I did not start this project with this end in mind. Since I got my new bag (see previous post), I have put all kinds of things in it. I had a ziploc baggie with pens, business cards, a tape measure, and deposit slips. But a ziploc baggie just doesn't look right for a person who can make neat things. So a few weeks ago I came across this new stitch called a star pattern. It actually came with a video too! So I played with it and made a bag to replace my ziploc baggie (Susan you know I love my bags!). As I was showing it to a friend, she suggested putting a strap on it. I don't need that for my bag, but thought I could make this a new item for my collection. And here it is!
This one is available now for $15, no shipping. I can make them in any color - solid, verigated (like this), or stripes. I love it! Let me know what you think and who I can send one to. This would make a great gift for your teenager or your college student.

I feel so official!
My friend Darla is so good to me. Her husband and oldest daughter do screen-printing on the side and she offered to have them do a few bags and a shirt for me. I gave them to her in December and I think they had a holiday season like I did - not enough time to get everything done!! But I am so glad they did this for me. It has turned out great!! Tell me what you think....
I am thrilled! I feel more official than I did when I got my business cards. Now when I carry a project with me I am advertising too! And since I am not an aggressive saleswoman this will help me get orders.
Look for new pictures coming in the next few weeks. I am working on my newest project, a t-shirt quilt. Get your t-shirts together and let me know when you would like me to start on yours!!!
